●Reviving the tropical rainforests |
Decrease of the tropical rainforest in Thailand is becoming more and more serious. On the subject of “Biodiversity and aforestation”, we will start planting with respect to the regional ecosystem in each areas. We try to plant native trees fit to the natural environment in Thailand, such as teaks for high quality timber, fruit trees, etc. to support peoples livelihood. |

● Planting 500,000 trees within five years |
In Thailand, forests have been decreasing because of economic development in the last 40 years. Forests area has been reduced to about 20% of the land area. “Forests for the Future Project in Thailand” aims to plant more than 500,000 trees in the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park as well as the other area throughout the country, with support of Thai government, research organizations, NGOs, etc. |

●Enhancing Children to be aware of the importance of growing the forests |
One of the main purpose of "Forests for the Future Project” is to let children know how important it is to plant trees, as well as how wonderful it is to work in harmony, together with other people, for preserving the precious environment. We raise children’s ecological mind cooperating with local schools, and helping children to grow nurseries from seeds as an environmental education. |
